What can i give my dog?

he keeps going to his backside, but his stool looks fine. although, he sometimes has slight discharge from backside. he, also, moves his mouth and tongue, but doesn't throw up. when he gets these feelings, he just sits there and gives you his paw like he wants your help. what can i give him? this has happened twice during the past two days. can someone give me a remedy, and, what you think, may be the cause. when he doesn't have this feeling, he's his old self. thank you.
