Why did the Spanish spread Catholicism across South America?
Why did the Spanish spread Catholicism across South America? The Vatican is in Rome Italy not Spain. Shouldn't it have been Italian conquistadors spreading Catholicism and not Spaniards. Is there a connection between Spain and Italy??. Wasn't Spain an extension of the Roman Empire at one point in history?
