I am pretty sure h what he did was a jerk move?

so my ex and i are still friends. he went home to visit family and yesterday he decided to have one of his friends tex me. at first i thought it wasnt him cause i just got done talking to him but then i wasnt sure. she said stuff that to me was a low blow like im fat and ugly so since i thought it was him i had to low blow it back. i called him a duche and that i faked it none of it being true but i was hurt. then he tells me he had her do that to get the truth about how i felt and he tried to act like i was a jerk. he kept telling her stupid crap about me. at the same time he was tellin me not to tex her just ignore it. he knows that man dad just died and that i wouldnt be able to keep my cool. then he starts to call me a duche and fatso and b*** to name a few. i dont think he can get the concept that right now im very emotional cause of my dad and anything said to me can get me mad or hurt me. does anyone els think this was a jerk move?
